Lashing@Sea

Lashing@Sea Joint Industry Project for Lashing on Ships
hosted by MARIN, the Netherlands

Summary

MARIN, a marine research institute in the Netherlands, started Lashing@Sea JIP (Joint Industry Project) in June 2006. This 3-year project aims to increase safety and efficiency in lashings for container, Ro-Ro, and heavy-lift vessels. Stakeholders such as shipowners, classes, lashing makers, software venders, research organizations, and governments are participating in this joint industry project.
MTI, the research branch of the NYK Group, joined the project from the start. We intend to contribute to the project and enhance safety-operation technologies. We work by cooperating with MARIN and other project members, and with related parties in the NYK Group.
