Cargo Environment-Measuring Service
  The service consists of measuring cargo environment in transit (temperature, humidity and shock)
by attaching measuring instruments to a container or cargo.
General

The service consists of the automatic measurement of temperature, humidity and shock by attaching measuring instruments to a container or cargo. By following continuous movements from vanning to devanning, it is possible to pin down the duration in which temperature and humidity conditions deteriorated and the transport sections where large shocks occurred so that you can use the findings to investigate possible causes of any damage incurred by to the cargo.
The service can also be used to study the effectiveness of desiccant agents and to obtain data to improve packing methods.

Measuring instruments used for this service are easy to handle for anyone.
Since the measurement data is prepared in the form of graphs and submitted in a report, it is easy to understand at a glance.
Comments from the users

When we transported heat sensitive cargo, we could study the temperature environment using a trial transport and learning about problem areas in transport in advance.
We had been troubled with wet damage caused by dew condensation. So we took measurements at several locations inside a container and were able to pinpoint the duration of and places where dew condensation was generated. We could obtain valuable data to study effective counter measures.
When we measured shock to cargo in the past, when piled cargo had collapsed, we were able to find the points of where shock was generated and its magnitude. The data helped us to find the causes of the collapse and to make specific remedial measures.
Notice

The cargo environment measuring service fee includes fees for the instrument use, analysis and report preparation of the measurement data.
The measuring instruments can be sent to the address in Japan that the customers specify. In case the instruments are used overseas, we ask customers to ship and go through customs clearance procedures themselves.
Installation and removal of the instruments is to be performed by the customers.

Q: Where should we install the instruments?
A: The basic installation positions are as follows:
Measurement of temperature and humidity: the ceiling surface, in the air proximity of the ceiling, in the speace between the ceiling and floor, at the floor of the container.
Measurement of shock: on the container floor next to the container door.
