Establishing the requisite shore based training and onboard training, both
in accordance with NYK Requirements (the knowledge and skills required for seafarers
aboard the NYK fleet), NYK Maritime College provides unified education and training
to all seafarers in the NYK fleet, regardless of nationality.
These educational and training activities cultivate human resources that compose
the future of the NYK group, which in turn contributes to the safe operation of
the entire NYK fleets.
Program Content
NYK Maritime College provides practical training through lectures and the use
of various simulators at shore facilities in an effort to improve the levels of
quality of skills in the NYK fleet seafarers.
MTI also offers support for the construction of shore based training programs
on local training centers in the world. In addition, MTI develops and introduces
various educational tools to enhance training.
Training facility
Using various simulators installed in the facility that are provided, participants
experience what it really feels like an actual operation.

Steam Turbine Plant simulator for LNG carriers
