Exhaust Dust Cleaner
This device removes toxic particulate matter contained in exhaust gas emitted from the engine of a ship.
General

The device is designed to be compact in order to install it in the engine room. The filters are re-usable with simple cleaning.
The device can be useful as a preventive measure against taint damage to the bodies of the cars stowed on a ship. Since a bypass pipeline is installed in case of the device breaking down, there would be no interference with the ventilation of exhaust gas from the diesel engine.
The device has been developed to cope with diesel engines that use heavy fuel oil.

Features

The device reduces the amount of soot and smoke discharged from a diesel generator.
It is designed for the exhaust gas to pass through the soot/smoke removing device.
The device is fitted to the smoke path of the exhaust pipe of the diesel generator engine in order to enhance the soot catching capability.
To use the limited space in the engine room efficiently, the device is compactly designed.

Product FAQ

Q: What is exhaust dust?
A: Exhaust dust are fine particles generated when coal and heavy fuel oil are burnt.
Q: Why do you install the soot/smoke removing device on a vessel?
A: When soot generated from the diesel engine and auxiliary boiler is emitted into the air, it causes air pollution and damage to the cargo on the ship. The soot/smoke removing device is installed to catch the soot before it is emitted from the ship into the air in order to prevent that from happening.
