Consultation on Quality Transport

Vanning Plan system: ESP21

User registration for ESP21 closed on March 31, 2009.

Condensation Terminator Sheets: CT Sheets

“CT sheets” are intended to keep cargo dry and undamaged by preventing the naturally occurring condensation on container ceilings from dripping onto customers’ cargo. CT sheets, which are easy to attach and remove, are excellent for water absorption. In addition, there is normally no need to clean containers after the sheets are removed. After introduction in 1999, the CT sheets have been widely used by customers in food manufacturing and other manufacturing industries. Many orders have also come in from transportation industries, where CT sheets are accepted as a favorable solution.

Shock-Absorbing Pallet

These pallets protect cargo from the vibrations and impacts that can occur during transport or during loading and unloading. Rubber developed exclusively to protect cargo from vibration during transport enables the pallet to provide shock protection during any mode of transport: sea, land, or air. These pallets have been delivered to clients handling cargo items such as glass products and precision machines that are particularly sensitive to vibration and shock.

Logistics Technology Handbooks (provided upon request)

These handbooks describe the environment within containers during transport. As the research division of a shipping company, MTI has put together this publication by sourcing its years of experience and understanding. They contain useful information for readers troubled by the kinds of cargo damage that can occur during transport.

Cargo-Environment-Measuring Service

Measuring equipment is placed in containers and on cargo to measure the temperature, humidity, and vibration (shock) encountered during shipment. This service allows quantitative assessment of the cargo’s transport environment, and the findings can be used to improve packing methods and identify the causes of damage.

Cargo-Measurement Database on Transport Conditions: Mr.CES

This service gives users website-access to data on temperatures, vibrations, and others physical conditions experienced by containers during transport. In addition, complete information will be provided from the database that has been accumulating since 1987, for that information often helps in making preliminary surveys for new transportation projects and in making improvements in packing.

Multi-Cargo Simulator (MCS): For Tests of Shock and Vibration during Transportation & for Tests of Transport Machinery's Resistance to Shock and Vibration

MTI performs various tests of vibration and oscillation with its large tri-axial shaking table. The company also performs tests of temperature and humidity in its large environment-reproducing chamber under commission from clients. These facilities can be used not only to verify optimal cargo stowage/packing methods by reproducing the vibrations and oscillations that cargo in transit may encounter, but also to reproduce the seismic motions experienced during heavy earthquakes such as the one that hit southern Hyogo Prefecture in 1995. Since the start of its operations in 1995, the equipment has been extensively used in quakeproofing tests for precision machines and furniture.
