RFID Logistics Solutions

Reusable Transport Items (RTI) Management System

By using RFID to keep track of the inventory information on various reusable transport items, the system can visualize inventory whereabouts and provide a management system for those items. (*This business has been transferred from Monohakobi Technology Institute ("MTI") to Nippon Yusen Kaisha ("NYK") as of April 1st, 2010. Announcement of Business Transfer)

Contributions to International Standardization

MTI is contributing to international standardization by working with an EPCglobal Transportation and Logistics Industry Action Group in conducting demonstration tests of international logistics.
We are supporting the standardization of a “spatial code” (also called a ubiquitous code or ucode) through demonstration tests of high-efficiency logistics services using a new ucode-based spatial-position information system. Hemp Bag Management System

This is a system of automatically writing information onto hemp bags by using QR-code labels backed with a special adhesive. The system helps reduce the workload in handling hemp bags and thereby contributes to logistics efficiency. (This service is going to be closed.)

Warehouse Management System

This system uses RFID in warehouses to link information on loaded pallets with information on warehouse locations in real time, and automates the registration of forklift work records. RFID Testing Facilities

These laboratories, built in logistics facilities closely resembling real logistics environments, are engaged not only in the verification of RFID and other technological elements, but also in the verification and assessment of developed solutions. MTI also uses these labs as demonstration sites, inviting customers to familiarize themselves with the new RFID technologies introduced during seminars held there.
