Cargo-Position Information Gotten from GNSS is Used in Various Situations in the Logistics Field
In recent years, GPS/GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) chips for performing positioning outdoors have been integrated into mobile phones, digital cameras, and even watches, thus making position information a familiar part of our life.
Even in the logistics field, this sort of position information has become important logistics information in the supply chain from the factories to the end users through sales agents.
MTI has been conducting research on GNSS (the generic term for positioning-satellite systems such as the US GPS, Russian GLONASS, and Japan’s QZSS) as outdoor positioning technology, especially for its high-precision positioning capabilities, and on logistics operational efficiency using GNSS information.
