OCEANS
The Open Collaboration Laboratory for Enabling Advanced Marine Systems (OCEANS) is an industry-academia collaboration project established at the Graduate School of Engineering at The University of Osaka. Its purpose is to conduct basic research on innovative systems engineering and design automation, and to serve as a center for education and training for the next generation.
MODE
MODE Lab (Maritime and Ocean Digital Engineering Laboratory) was established at the Graduate School of Frontier Sciences, The University of Tokyo. The project aims to build a common simulation platform in the maritime industry using tools like Model Based System Engineering (MBSE).
DFFAS+
DFFAS+ (Designing the Future of Fully Autonomous Ships Plus) is a consortium that aims to achieve a production-ready autonomous navigation system at the product level through the demonstration tests and standardization efforts as part of the second stage of the Nippon Foundation's fully autonomous ship project “MEGURI2040”.
